i can grow old, we can stay young

After 'diana and harrison' was finished being recorded and was ready to be mixed, I still had an itch to keep making things. I was all out of steam to write more songs with lyrics and stuff like that, but I found myself back on the piano again just messing around. I had liked what I had done previously with 'april snowdrop, colour and ducks' but there were issues to me with the way things had been recorded and just my skill level with the production side of things. This album to me is just the better, more refined version of that first piano album; completely instrumental with no lyrics.

I also wanted to come up with a companion piece for each song, so I wrote poems for all of them to act as a written component and maybe a physical explanation for what each of the songs meant to me. They were released week by week on my Instagram during the rollout of the album

I was also lucky enough to have one of the songs used in Dylan Walsh's first film 'Dave and Rob' which was screened at the Thornbury Picturehouse in 2024
